Super Seedy, Grain Free, Gluten Free Bread – Um, but where are all the seeds? 

A few years ago, when I started baking low carb breads for my kids, I faced the biggest disappointment ever, they didn't like it.  They didn't like the texture and they particularly didn’t like the seeds.  Seeds are incredibly healthy, full of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. They can even help to reduce blood sugar, cholesterol and blood pressure.  One way or another, we were adding seeds. 

I tried to hide the seeds by blending them into flours. The kids started eating the bread after this.  Skyebird bread was designed for kids to eat, enjoy and love. 

The seeds are there, I promise.  I didn’t know this at the time but grinding the seed flours, in particular, flax seeds, makes the nutrients easier for our body to absorb.  Go figure!  Also, when you’re toasting Skyebird bread, seeds don’t fall down the toaster and get stuck at the bottom. Not a big deal for you… ever clean a toaster?  😊 

Interestingly, whole flax seeds can pass through our body without being broken down at all and should really be ground or pressed into an oil before consuming.  Guess my kids were onto something.
